Welcome to ICCR 2024!

On behalf of the organizing and scientific committees, as well as the Hong Kong Society of Rheumatology, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to you at the International Conference of Chinese Rheumatologists.

This year, we have brought together leading international experts and esteemed practitioners from Hong Kong, creating a unique platform for training and knowledge sharing that aims to elevate the practice of rheumatology across Hong Kong and Asia. We are proud to connect Asian and Chinese rheumatologists with colleagues from 15 regions and countries, enhancing our global professional network.

In our dedication to education, we have expanded our programme to feature concurrent sessions tailored for nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and family physicians. This initiative seeks to foster collaboration among healthcare professionals and offer continuous medical education opportunities for primary care physicians and allied health practitioners in Hong Kong.

We are also delighted to welcome the Hong Kong Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation, along with patient self-help groups, to our conference. A concurrent patient conference will underscore the significance of patient participation in our field.

Furthermore, we are excited to present an APLAR-endorsed Basic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course, ensuring that attendees receive high standard training in musculoskeletal care within the region.
