Andrew Östör is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Cabrini Medical Centre and an A/Prof at Monash University, Melbourne & Australian National University, Canberra. He is a Principal Investigator at Emeritus Research, Melbourne, Australia and was formally the Director of the Rheumatology Clinical Research Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK.
With his extensive training and years of experience, Prof Östör is dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of rheumatology. His research interests currently focus on inflammatory arthritis, biologic and novel treatments for rheumatic diseases, clinical trials and disorders of the shoulder joint.
Prof Östör believes in building a strong doctor-patient relationship based on trust, empathy, and open communication. With his expertise, dedication, and patient-centered approach, he strives to improve the health and well-being of each individual he cares for. His other main interests include Modernist architecture and design and driving his children to sporting events.
